On Monday March 16, his excellency Bishop Douglas Crosby, OMI, Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton published further directives for all parishes in the diocese:
Sunday Mass will be celebrated only privately by our pastor for the intentions of all parishioners. Parishioners can unite our prayers with Father Ranjan from our homes. There will be no public Masses, including no weekeday Masses until it is safe to meet again. Bishop Crosby has dispensed all in our diocese from the obligation to participate in the Sunday Mass. All large meetings, gatherings, retreats will be cancelled. Bishop Crosby goes on to say, “These are challenging times and we must work together for the care and safety of the community. Thank you for your attention to these directives.” You can read the Bishop’s Letter in full here. There are opportunities for you to watch Mass online, especially on Sundays.
